This is work involving developing, coordinating and overseeing Title 38 and Title 39 contracts in support of Facility Services requirements.OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITIONValid Class E Driver License.Available for scheduled On-Call assignments for Building Maintenance or Building Systems departments.Available for extended stay on-campus or be assigned to stay with Facilities Team at evacuation site during severe weather events.Knowledge of Title 38 and Title 39 contract requirements.Knowledge of general maintenance, trades and engineering techniques, methods and procedures.Knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, heating and ventilation operations and equipment.Knowledge of contract development and oversight.Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to supervise people of varying trades, skills and abilities.Ability to determine work priorities then plan, organize, coordinate and insure proper completion of work assignments. Ability to requisition, distribute and monitor use of supplies and materials.Ability to maintain accurate records.Ability to utilize problem solving techniques.Ability to use hand tools and power tools and equipment properly.Ability to read and clearly understand blueprints.Ability to carry, erect, climb, and maneuver on ladders and/or scaffolds; work in tight and awkward spaces; work off of roofs, cat walks, and other elevated areas.Ability to carry or otherwise move loads of 50 pounds or more (pipe, wire, toolboxes, etc.).Ability to understand and apply University rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and within extreme temperature ranges.Ability to communicate information effectively, in English, both verbally and in writing.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual – English and Spanish; AutoCAD proficiency.Currently:This is work overseeing skilled trades work by painter masters, painters and contractors in preparing and repairing surfaces then applying coatings to the interior and exterior of buildings, other structures and equipment.To provide supervision, guidance, logistical support and limited administration to a group of Painters performing, journeyman level painting.
